Celebrated their First Annual Day 2008
Bangalore April 5, 2008: India’s education system has gone down tremendous changes in the past few years. Your Kids ‘R’ Our Kids, one of the renowned child development centre in India is celebrating their Annual Day 2008, which also happens to be the First Anniversary of Banerghatta Centre in Bangalore, successfully launched last year. The function was held at the JSS Auditorium in Jayanagar in the presence of Mr. Bharat Kapoor and Ms. Suman Kapoor, Directors of Your Kids ‘R’ Our Kids along with Kalpana Veera Raghavan, Global Lead, Work life Fund-IBM, Mr. Uday Navile, VP, Entertainment and Media, - IBM. The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr. Bhairav Shanth, Head of Global Outreach Programme, International Institute of Planning & Management (IIPM), one of India’s premier B-School. Parents, grand parents, teachers and everybody associated with YKROK were also present at this prestigious occasion. This is the first time such kind of celebration is taking place in Bangalore where senior level members of IBM were present to grace the occasion.
Earlier, a certain method was followed in all the institutions, but now the whole scenario has changed as people are open to new methods of teaching especially in the area of pre-schools. At present, parents aim to give an overall improvement (academic and extra curricular) to their child to face the competitive world and thus, need to have a reliable guidance. Earlier, parents use to hesitate in leaving their kids in pre-schools as they used to be worried about the child’s safety and care. But Your Kids ‘R’ Our Kids have brought a revolution by providing the best facilities for the kids from the age group of 3 months till 6 years and also the after school/afternoon boarding programme till 12 years. This is a unique concept which helps the mothers to be at ease and tension free.
Bianka, a 8 year old student of IISB, Bangalore and the daughter of Mr. Bharat Kapoor, Director, YKROK was the cute little host- for the evening who, with her confidence and bubbly speech moved the audience and attracted their attention to the fullest. The Annual Day 2008 witnessed its opening with the song ‘Vande Mataram’, paying homage to our country. The Chief Guest, Mr. Bhairav Shanth and all those from IBM fraternity were welcomed with bouquets by Ms. Suman Kapoor, Educational Director, and YKROK. The Chief Guest lighted the lamp to formally open the Annual Day Programme. He delivered his speech where he thanked the management for asking him to grace the occasion. He appreciated the work being done by YKROR team and felt very happy to announce on behalf of YKROK, the initiation of getting the prestigious certification from ISO 9001 standard. He shared that very few pre- schools take such initiatives in a very short duration which would help them to have a very strong base.
The theme of the function was ‘Invention of Shoes’. The tiny tots presented a short drama/skit based on a Rabindranath Tagore’s short story on invention of shoes. The cutie pies then blazed the floor with their lovely salsa dance numbers and a Fashion Show from different age groups. All the kids stunned everyone with their performances. The fashion show by the little angles was unbelievable. They looked like they will pose a threat to the professional models. The skit was fabulously performed by the little wonders that shone like bright stars in the stage. This helped the kids to show their talent in front of the audience and encourages them to be more confident in time to come. The total programme compelled the audience to say ‘We Want More!!!!!’
Mr. Bharat Kapoor has plans of expansion to other locations in Bangalore and to other key cities in India like Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. He is also looking forward to get associated with other Corporate in the country as well. “We are interested to partner with various Corporates in different sectors on all locations in India. We will like to grow by two additional centers in the year 2009. Your Kids ‘R’ Our Kids have currently tied up with IBM as their corporate partner since their first opening in US.”
